It may be the middle of January, but it?s back to school for Chartboost. Today, we're excited to announce our third Chartboost University (CBU), the indie developer boot camp that connects up-and-coming game makers with industry experts. CBU Spring 2014 will be held March 5-12 at Chartboost HQ, and we?ve partnered with the International Game Developers Association (IGDA) to select our CBU scholars and send them to GDC in San Francisco! We?ve crafted an amazing, brand new curriculum for Spring Session 2014. CBU scholars will get schooled on player retention tactics, publishing, monetization, app discovery practices, and much more. These lucky devs will also get hands on, 1:1 mentorship from the creative experts at SomaTone, DeNA, TinyCo, LVL6, GamesBeat, and other notable names in gaming. No Need for Student LoansAll participating teams will get a scholarship of up to $4,000 USD to cover transportation and housing. This program is 100% for you, the developer. We don?t want equity in your games, you don?t have to integrate Chartboost technology--this is simply your opportunity to learn.Think you make the grade? The submission deadline is January 31st.

?Inspiring IndiesWhen we launched Chartboost University a year ago, we aimed to empower the global development community with the knowledge to build great games. Since then, we?ve seen our CBU alum develop for the new Playstation 4 and participate in competitive accelerator programs. These success stories motivate us to make every CBU session better than the last, and figure out how to share that information with other developers around the world.Even if you can?t join us in San Francisco, you can access all the knowledge shared on Chartboost University Online, a brand new information hub for developers to learn from our CBU faculty. If you?re planning to launch your game this month, consider some of the go-live and app discovery practices shared by our experts in the video links below:?
