Welcome to 2014! With the new year comes new resolutions. Our resolution? Continue to provide you with insights that help you to navigate our network.

As you may have guessed, we saw an increase in spend from November to December. However, the increased spend was because advertisers were recognizing more of their budgets, rather than having a ?holiday bidding war?. Since there was a seasonal spike in game play and longer sessions, advertisers were able to acquire more installs with lower bids across all platforms. The large increase in sessions was especially highlighted by Android. In 2012, the user sessions on Android and iOS grew at roughly the same rate between November and December. During the same time period in 2013, Android user sessions spiked a whopping 54% more than iOS, helping Android account for almost one-half of all user sessions. While average CPI?s remained higher on iOS, this holiday season demonstrated a continuing trend where we see accelerated growth in Android traffic that could eventually overtake iOS.To see the exact CPIs in December by country, click on the heatmap below or visit our Insights Page.
