Chartboost Chosen as Monetization SDK for Huawei Apps
October 27, 2017
This week I attended?Huawei eco-CONNECT in Berlin, where one of the world?s top smartphone vendor introduced the expansion of its China-based ecosystem to Western Europe.During this 2-day conference, Huawei unveiled Mobile Services, content partnerships with 15 key app and game developers, as well as strategic technology partnerships ahead of the launch of Huawei AppStore and Huawei Video Service in 2018. This includes supporting key monetization SDKs for developers, and we?re very excited to be selected as one of the certified platforms.
The new Huawei AppStore includes app discovery and recommendation features that help people find interesting content in new ways. Plus, it offers a wide variety of top quality apps and games with an average 4.3/5-star rating. Each app and game goes through vigorous testing with only the best accepted to the store.Security and safety are key pillars for the new Huawei AppStore. This is why they are providing a four-layer deep testing for apps and only a curated AdNetwork whitelist. We are very thrilled that Chartboost has been selected as a monetization and cross-promotion SDK by Huawei. We have seen an increasing interest from advertisers for these devices. There are two main reasons for that: Huawei has been at the front of smartphone innovation, fostering immersive and top quality mobile (and gameplay) experiences. On the other side, users on Huawei devices are typically high payers on online services, both in China (where the majority of users pay via mobile) and in the West, where Huawei devices are on the high end of Android handsets, comparable to the iPhone.Starting next year, developers who want to increase distribution by porting their quality titles to the brand new Huawei App Store will have Chartboost available as one of the top certified SDKs.We are thrilled to partner Huawei in this new endeavor in the West and look forward to fostering a vibrant and top-quality app ecosystem!Read full Huawei's full announcement here.
