Calling All Co-Developers: Corona and AIR Now Open-Source
January 15, 2014
We're excited to announce that we've open-sourced our Corona SDK and Adobe AIR Native Extension to enable faster, community-driven development ??and with more than 250,000 Corona developers and millions of Adobe AIR users worldwide, there's a lot of crowd wisdom waiting to be tapped!
Open-source SDKs turn users into co-developers empowered to fix bugs and improve features directly, without waiting for the next official release. It's not just about speed, though ? Corona and AIR developers who use Chartboost also have the real-world, in-the-trenches experience it takes to build a great product users love and adopt. (Giant thanks to Kenny of Rendered Mouse for getting the ball rolling!)We're passing you the reins, but will stay active in the community to make sure the official versions are viable products for all our users. The happy result: A Corona SDK and AIR Extension flexible enough for empowered developers, and more dependable for the entire Chartboost community. To learn how to contribute to our open-source projects, visit the Help Site today!
